Is it just us or did January seem extra long this year? With all that snow and the bitter cold, it was a STRUGGLE.
Fortunately, we made it to February! Unfortunately, it's still winter, and it will be for several more weeks...
But we don't have to let that get us down. There are PLENTY of fun ways to make the most of winter in Oneonta.

Athletic events are exciting, warm, free, and a great way to meet people! Whether it's a basketball, track, swimming or wrestling event, it's fun to get out and support your classmates.
*Now's a better time than ever, since the Athletic Department launched its new Fan of the Month contest, where the student who attends the most home games in a month wins some awesome Oneonta athletics apparel. Make sure you have the Corq app on your phone, because that's how you check in at games. Find a game that fits into your schedule here! #HereWeGoO
Go on a weekend snowshoeing adventure with the Outdoor Adventure Club, check out the Neahwa Park ice skating rink downtown, or take a hike at College Camp!
*Mark your calendar - On Saturday, Feb. 23, College Camp will host a Winter Celebration that will include horse-drawn sleigh rides, a guided snowshoe walk, snow games and sledding! Learn more here.
You could also make your own fun right on campus! The key is to get your blood pumping and breathe in some fresh air.
Check out what's happening off-campus during the winter! It's always nice to get out and about in the community. Check out the snow tubing at Glimmerglass State Park in nearby Cooperstown!
*While you're in the area, visit Fly Creek Cider Mill for a fun afternoon and a bite to eat!
Get your body moving and your dopamine flowing! We're lucky to have so many ways on campus to do this. Make up your own dance in one of the studios, go for a swim, or climb the rock wall in Ford.
*Did you know there's a climbing facility in downtown Oneonta, as well? It's brand new!
If all else fails, meet your besties at one of the cafés on campus, check out what's new in the art gallery, or catch a movie at the Red Dragon Theatre. As long as you're with friends, your heart will be warm. <3
Happy wintering!
