In the spring 2025 semester, I had the pleasure of doing a photography internship for SUNY Oneonta's Office of Communication and Marketing, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I learned so much about event and live performance photography, and I feel so lucky to have learned so much while also doing what I love. This internship taught me so many valuable skills that I know I will bring to my professional career as a photographer and artist.
The Club Expo this year was packed, and it was so cool to see all the different clubs that the university has to offer. There were a lot that I had no knowledge of until I went to the expo, and a lot of them were really interesting!
Casino Night was a lot of fun! There were so many games set up, and there was a bingo game where students won some really cool prizes. There were a ton of students there and everyone was having a great time!
Yella's takeover of the grill was a way for Yella's to get introduced to the students before they set up shop in Mills Marketplace in the fall. The food was delicious, so I'm sure they will be a great addition to the campus for Fall 2025!
Poppy is a wonderful therapy dog, and I'm so happy I had the pleasure of photographing her and watching her help the students on campus with their stress and happiness levels. She is so chill and absolutely adorable!
Alice by Heart was a musical put on by the Apollo Music Club that put a different and touching spin on the classic Alice in Wonderland. This was one of my favorite events to shoot since I ended up really loving the play!
The ALS Solidarity Concert celebrated Black History Month by hosting wonderful speakers and talented performers who sang songs from the Black Liberation Songbook. This concert was incredibly moving, and I am very glad that I got to photograph it!
This play, written by Dan O'Neil and directed by Andrew Kahl, is a striking commentary on the political and social climate of the United States. I really enjoyed photographing this play—the story was very interesting!
I played lacrosse in middle and high school, and it's my favorite sport to watch, so I'm happy that I got the opportunity to photograph our talented women's lacrosse team as they faced off against RPI!
This memorial served to remember the people who lost their lives to AIDS at a time when there was no treatment for the disease, and the people who were affected by it were mostly met with fear and hostility from others. I found myself very emotional at multiple points throughout the event, and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to capture this beautiful memorial on camera.
This striking performance, led by sisters Georgia B. Smith and Zelda Smith, came together after months of close work between the two artists and a talented group of students on campus.
OH-Factor was so much fun! It was so cool to see all the different artists compete for a chance to be the opening act for OH-Fest, and I am happy I got to be there, since I found new artists whose music I really enjoyed. Congratulations to Buffalo Joe and the Hobos for their win!
The Kente Graduation celebrates students who have diverse ethnic backgrounds and students who uphold the values of diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice. This ceremony was a lot of fun, and it was really nice to see so many accomplished students get awards and their Kente cloths.
OH-Fest was so much fun! I had a great time photographing the openers, Buffalo Joe and the Hobos, and the headliners, Neon Trees. The performances were incredible, and the crowd was full of energy!
This banquet, organized by the Division of University Advancement, was a classy event that celebrated students who donated to the Fund for Oneonta. The food was great, and the event was very well organized. I am happy that I could be there and photograph this lovely event!
It was so cool to photograph the dress rehearsal for the Student Fashion Society's spring fashion show on campus. I really enjoyed seeing all the creative students' designs and the process that goes into getting ready for a fashion show. Everyone there seemed so passionate about fashion!
