Senior Week kicked off with Graduation Headquarters, or “GradHQ,” in the Hunt Union, featuring music, giveaways and a SUNY Oneonta photo screen. Seniors picked up commencement tickets and regalia, contributed to the class gift, and shared their post-Oneonta plans on #PinUrPath certificates.
No glue? No glitter? No problem. The Office of Alumni Engagement hosted a cap decorating session at the Hunt Union Waterfront.
As freshmen, the Class of 2018 passed through the pillars of Old Main (SUNY Oneonta's first building) the night before the first day of classes. The day before commencement, they passed through the pillars again--this time in the opposite direction--with faculty, staff, friends and families cheering them on.
Pass through the Pillars ended with a champagne or sparkling juice toast on the quad. Cheers to the Class of 2018!
More than 1,600 candidates for bachelor's and master's degrees were recognized during three commencement ceremonies in the Alumni Field House on Saturday, May 12. Global healthcare management leader Charles E. Bogosta, a 1980 SUNY Oneonta graduate, received and honorary degree and delivered the commencement address.
SUNY Oneonta President Nancy Kleniewski, Provost James Mackin, and a variety of faculty and staff members collaborated on a commencement day message to the Class of 2018. Watch for a cameo by one of our favorite pizza makers!
Saturday was a day to celebrate our graduates. On Sunday, we celebrated the moms who helped them succeed! See their words of advice and thanks to one another in this special Mother's Day commencement video.
From friends to favorite hangouts to our beautiful scenery, graduates shared what they will miss when they leave Oneonta.
